Choosing flowers for every occasion

There are no hard rules, but a few tips help your bouquet say exactly what you mean.

Birthdays

Pick the recipient's favourite colours; bright mixed bouquets feel joyful. Don't forget a handwritten card.

Anniversaries and dates

Red or pink roses are a safe choice; odd stem counts (9, 11, 19) are popular in Vietnam.

Openings and congratulations

Flower stands or baskets with sunflowers, orchids or gerberas symbolise prosperity. Deliver 1–2 hours before the opening.

Thank you and sorry

Soft pastels with tulips, carnations or pink roses make your words sincere without being showy.

Get well and sympathy

Choose white or soft green tones and avoid loud colours. For hospital visits, pick low-scent, low-pollen flowers.
